The Conversation of a Lifetime: 
Halachic views of End of Life Decision Making and Withdrawal of Life Sustaining Measures

with Rabbi Pitkowsly and Sarah Monchar

During this session, we will look at Jewish texts and values that can guide our decisions about End of Life care such as DNR requests, withdrawing or withholding life-sustaining treatment and palliative care options. Real life clinical scenarios will be presented and discussed through a halachic lens. We will discuss our new effort to encourage Beth Sholom members to designate a health care proxy. A third session, later this spring, will be held to help guide members on how to have these crucial discussions with their loved ones.

The program will follow an extended kiddush and will include dessert.
