Dr. Rachel Kranson is a professor of religious studies and the Director of Jewish studies at the University of Pittsburgh. Her current research is a book-length project entitled Religious Misconceptions: American Jews and the Politics of Abortion. She is also the author of Ambivalent Embrace: Jewish Upward Mobility in Postwar America and a co-editor of A Jewish Feminine Mystique?: Jewish Women in Postwar America.
