Directions to Congregation Beth via public transportation from Manhattan
From the George Washington Bridge Terminal:
Take the jitney bus from the upper level terminal # 5 or # 6
it will leave you off on Route 4 at Belle Ave. When you get off the bus, go to the corner and turn left to Sussex Road and then you would have to walk up Sussex Road to Maitland Ave, turn right and we are on your right hand side at the end of the block.
or
Take the NJ Transit Bus # 178 - you will have to find out which gate or terminal it leaves from.
This bus makes several stops but leaves you the closest to the synagogue.
You would get off on West Englewood Ave and Rugby Road.
Walk up Rugby Rd 3 blocks to the synagogue on your left.
or
Take NJ Transit Bus # 175 you will have to find out which gate or terminal it leaves from.
This is more of an express bus, but it leaves you kinda far from the synagogue. The stop for Teaneck is on Teaneck Road and Route 4.
I would only take this option if there were no other way.
From the Port Authority Bus Terminal:
Take NJ Transit Bus # 167 - you will have to find out which gate or terminal it leaves from.
This is an express bus. It leaves you off on the corner of State Street and Teaneck Road.
You would walk down State Street, crossing over the railroad tracks by bearing to your right to Windsor Road. Make a left onto Windsor Road and go 1 block to Maitland Ave.
Turn right onto Maitland Ave and go 1 block. The synagogue will be in front of you on the left side of the street.
or
Take NJ Transit Bus # 168 - you will have to find out which gate or terminal it leaves from.
This is an express bus that will leave you off at Cedar Lane and Queen Anne Road. Walk down Cedar Lane to Sussex Road and make a right onto Sussex and walk all the way up Sussex Road, passing Route 4 and continue past West Englewood Ave to Maitland Ave and turn right onto Maitland Ave. We are on the right side at the end of the block.
