Sisterhood, afiliated with the Women’s League of Conservative Judaism, provides the women of Congregation Beth Sholom an opportunity to interact, network, and socialize with one another in a comfortable, nurturing environment.

Each year, Sisterhood sponsors a book club which meets once a month on Saturday afternoon in the synagogue. The group will begin meeting again in the fall.

Sisterhood Rosh Hashanah Cards

Rosh Hashanah cards are traditionally sent to our family and friends. Sisterhood of Congregation Beth Sholom creates one beautiful booklet that is sent to every synagogue member. Sisterhood Wellness Program

Torah Fund Campaign

The Torah Fund Campaign of the Women’s League of Conservative Judaism helps support all the arms of Conservative/Masorti Judaism. Here’s how you can contribute:

Torah Fund Cards: There’s a beautiful selection of donation cards you can purchase for $4 each or 6 for $20. We have cards In Memory of Loved Ones, Refuah Sheleimah (Complete Recovery), Mazal Tov and more. See the display near the synagogue office. We can mail them for you or you can purchase a selection of them to keep in your home to send whenever you wish. Plus Giving Torah Fund Cards: If you’d like to give a donation of $18 or more in someone’s honor or memory, we have very beautiful cards to send in acknowledgement. Contact the synagogue office at (201) 833-2620 or office@cbsteaneck.org for details.

Torah Fund Donor Pin: If you’d like to contribute money on the benefactor level or greater, you’ll receive this beautiful pin for your commitment. This year’s theme is Le avdah ul-shamrah, To Plant and Preserve. A minimum donation of $180 is required, and a number of payment options are available.
